Not too much is known about David’s parents, except they have advanced degrees themselves and his father is Nigerian. We will like to hear more stories like this and we wish David the best of success.
]]>Tani was introduced to chess while in school, he excelled and become one of the youngest chess masters when at only 10 years old he achieved the scores to the USFC making him the 28th youngest chess player in history to become the newest chess master!! 1.
One of the reasons I’m telling this story is for one no one tells stories like that, especially about black boys, secondly, you hear in the “unconscious community” all the time about how we need to play chess not checkers. They say a lot of things about chess yet we don’t know about this boy.
The interesting story is Paramount has secured the right to make a movie about his life, and YES he is only 12 years old. He is black and we should have told his story a long time ago….
LOL, this is too much of a good story, it doesn’t have the necessary drama!!!
]]>My main problem is we do exactly as we are told, we do what the media tells us, someone should have come out and told all the media organizations about this boy. Winning a math competition is very impressive!!!! This boy won in a subject that “we” as black people don’t even like. Most people don’t like math because it forces us to think. Oh, believe me, math has a way of doing that. Congratulations to these children, but I think it is unfair how black boys are being treated.
We really need to start thinking for ourselves, In Today’s world, everyone wants to be an activist for the wrong reasons, or because they think they can make money from it. Example Black lives matter. I think we should recognize our own children, instead of being told exactly what to do. Once again congratulations to these children!!! You have made us Proud!!!!
