If we care about history or even pay attention to the last 20 years, Joe Biden should be answering questions about his deeds as a politician. Historically Joe Biden has never been on the side of Black people, ( FACT 1). he has been in politics for 47 years yet we are not asking him what exactly has he done for black people. Once upon a time, his own vice presidential candidate accused him of racism of course racism is a blanket term. Let us go with the policies for a second,  Just the 356-page crime bill alone should make black people pause for a second and think all this through, here is one thing that stands out to me,  the 94 crime Bill actually cancelled grants that inmates could apply for just in case they get a change of heart while being locked up and want to pursue some form of higher education. Charlamagne asked him, what he has done for Black people, he said he voted to extend the voting rights act for black people, No one asked him why that act is not permanent. Him saying this alone should make us understand that he doesn’t support full citizenship for black people.   I urge everyone to read the 94 crime Bill, which Joe Biden co-authored. Every black person should read it and his defense of it.

On one hand, I get it,  A lot of people are saying anyone but Trump,   people don’t see the danger in that statement. People take things so personal to the point that their hatred for Trump overrides their logic. Anyone but Trump doesn’t automatically mean, anyone is better than Trump because that person could be worse, just reading the 94 crime Bill alone should wake us up. if we care about history the way we say we do, this is not going back 100 years, it was in the 90s,  Bill Clinton asked for more police at every state of the Union Address, in support of the 94 crime Bill.

If anyone at all reads the 94 crime Bill in its entirety and still wants to vote for Joe Biden, then, by all means, do so, cause that means you can get passed every excuse he made to penalize black people. If not ,we have to rethink this whole issue,.

A few people who have an idea of what that Bill did to the black community might say he apologized for it (which he never did)  but let’s say he did, are we saying that all someone has to do is to apologize and we are good with it, this man put into policy a lot of racist laws, and those laws are still on the books today. Please let’s not say, all we want from history is an apology, We should be demanding more than that. Now Biden on Police Brutality???? That is the biggest Joke  I heard off because let me tell you who supported him for the 94 crime Bill. List BELOW!

Endorsement Letters from Police Organizations that supported the 94 crime bill.

1. Fraternal Order of Police

2. National Association of Police organizations

3. International Brotherhood of Police Officers

4. International Association of Chiefs of Police

5. National Sheriffs Association

6. National Troopers Coalition

7.Delaware State Troopers Association

8. National Organization for Victims Assistance

9. National Victims Center

10. National Association for Crime Compensation Boards

Let us listen to Biden in his own words about how Bill Clinton Supports the Death Penalty and pretended he didn’t, Oh mind you the Bill was known as the Biden Bill before it changed …… WOW  I say

JOE BIDEN in his own words, Please Listen!!!! Lesser of two evils?

Watch the whole thing here

YES, THIS IS THE GUY WHO WE SWEAR IS BETTER THAN TRUMP!!!!!!!!! Guys we need to rethink this!!

Fake Outrage, Facts and Fiction http://selfequanimity.com/fake-outrage-facts-and-fiction/ http://selfequanimity.com/fake-outrage-facts-and-fiction/#respond Thu, 11 Jun 2020 06:33:49 +0000 http://selfequanimity.com/?p=520 With everything that is going on it is easy to get lost in sensationalism. We have to ask was something done in the past for all this to be happening now??  Now more than ever, if we are crying out about systemic unfairness and racism etc. We should be looking at the system and what policies got us here, ( laws and bills line by line), let us take a walk down memory lane, let’s say almost 25-30 years ago. These are the times when we should be asking, who, what, when, and how. Trump, is a scapegoat, a lot of people call him stupid and indirectly blame him for everything that is going wrong with the country now,  he is the dumb president that somehow got into the highest office of the land. People also believe that somehow America was such a Utopia before Trump who just “messed” everything up.

Let us look at a few facts. I’d like to start with something that is connected to what is going on at the present moment, something very current. We all know black neighborhoods are over overpoliced, but where did it all start…  I will like to go back to a set of policies put in place by the democratic party. President Bill Clinton first got into office in 1992, started his term from 1993-2001. Ah, the 42nd president some might even call him the first black president, he was so cool, he played the saxophone on the Arsenio Hall show, GREAT!!. In his 1993 state of the union address he asked for 100,000 more police officers,( this was his first year in office by the way) this was before the famous 1994 crime bill. Funny it is almost as if he had an agenda before getting into office ….

Then came the 1994 crime bill which was co-authored by Joe Biden, In the 1995 state of the union address he asked for 100,000 police officers again,  then in 96 then in 98 and in 2000 guess what he did, after getting 100,000 police officers he asked for an additional 50,000, he told congress they should be focused on high crime areas. There you have it, over-policing was actually put in place by the one who least gets the blame.

Bill Clinton

This is not to say that over-policing did not exist before, it certainly did, we had the war on drugs, amongst others. but what this man did in his 8-year term was quite interesting, it is almost as if his presidency, ( when it came to blacks) was based on putting more black people in jail.

Isn’t it amazing that a few years after, we are now crying about police brutality and over-policing of black people?  Most people won’t go back that far in history. In 8 years the democratic party gave us the crime bill, and extra police to go along with it.  Yet there are a few people who believe that if Democrats were in power, all this wouldn’t have happened. President Barack Obama held a town hall meeting via zoom, about recent events yet he never mentioned once that all this started with the very party he supports. Believe it or not, Trump has taken steps to counter the 1994 crime bill which is the “The first step ACT. “ From Bill Clinton to George Bush to Barack Obama, Black people were still the most locked up In the country. Sadly Presidents like Bill Clinton made sure of that by signing the 1994 crime bill.

Let look at immigration. People use that as the argument against Trump, sort of a “gotcha” thing against him.  Let us took a look, does anyone remember the Muslim ban?  People acted as if they loved refugees and Muslims, people protested and marched just like anything else. Go back far enough, there was a time when every Muslim face was a suspect. The truth is most governors did not really want refugees in their states but somehow kept quiet about it while the marching and protesting were going on. Fun fact, the 7 countries Trump was being racist about? they were actually chosen by Obama. Obama was the one who ordered tough restrictions on people from those countries. Funny how he has been quiet through all this.  Let go to another issue, it is still linked to immigration. Ah, the separation of the children at the border.  This is a very complex issue.  It is interesting to note that the separation started under Obama’s administration.  Trump did start the zero-tolerance policy but it was under Obama that children were being locked up. No one seems to mind then.  What the media isn’t saying is that the Obama administration is just as guilty as the Trump administration. Another fun fact, Obama had a nickname “deporter in chief”.

Barack Obama

I’m sure we can guess he didn’t get such a nickname because he was pro” illegal immigrant”, something Trump was accused of.

Does anyone remember the famous picture of children’s faces down on the floor, in a chained cage?  Well, that picture was taken in 2014.   who was president in 2014???? I betting anyone $10.00 that it wasn’t Trump.

Finally, the wall that Trump wanted because he was a racist and crazy??

Another fun fact, most famous democrats you see today wanted a wall back in 2006.  When Trump was debating Hillary Clinton, he said plainly and simple, “Hillary Wanted a wall, but as you know she can’t get anything done” to which her response was “ I voted for border security” and then she went on to change the conversation to what Trump said about immigrants or shall we say, she said Trump was bashing immigrants,  If anyone goes back to read the “Secure Fence ACT of 2006″,  and who voted for it, they will find out that their beloved democrats wanted that wall, funny how they changed because Trump wanted the same thing. Here are some democrats who were for the wall as well,

Hillary Clinton
  1. Senator Barack Obama
  2. Senator Hillary Clinton
  3. Senator Joe Biden
  4. Senator Dianne Feinstein
  5. Chuck Schumer.

Barack Obama said in a speech on September 21, 2006, 2 years before he became president, that building the wall will certainly do some good. Of course, how could I leave out Joe Biden, he said in a town hall meeting that “ I voted for a fence” I voted for 700 miles of fence. People are crossing the border with tons of cocaine to heroin to methamphetamine” doesn’t he sound a lot like Trump????

Joe Biden

In the information age, we should be careful not to buy into sensationalism!!!

Policies not People or Politicians http://selfequanimity.com/policies-not-people-not-politicians/ http://selfequanimity.com/policies-not-people-not-politicians/#respond Tue, 19 May 2020 04:23:13 +0000 http://selfequanimity.com/?p=393 I would like to ask a question, Dear reader, (assuming you are black) Look at the featured images, who would you say was the best president ? who would you rather see leading this country,? Who would you say makes you feel good????. I’m sure a lot of black people will say, Mr. Barack Obama, followed by Bill Clinton, maybe George W Bush because he like President Obama and his family,  followed by the father of George W Bush, George HW Bush. I don’t see a lot of people liking Trump based on feelings alone.

There is a saying that goes like this “Action speaks louder than words” So to judge any politician we have to look at their deeds, and their action not listen to what they say, usually what they say is useless rhetoric. Sometimes we like what they say sometimes we don’t. Too often we like to judge people based on how we feel about them, not their action and that is very problematic. Most people (especially black) can be moved one way or the other emotionally.  A lot of people talk about systemic racism, we are made to believe that the wealth gap is evidence of systemic racism,  the numbers make it easy to believe something like this exists.

The black population is still 13% yet have only 2.7% of the wealth in the USA

Median Networth of the average white family is $134,000.00 as compared to $11,000.00 of the average black family, Median Wealth of the single white woman is $41,000.00 as compared to the black woman which is $120.00

we just know that white households make more money than black households, No one ever bothers to tell us why that is, the factors contribute to this, and moreover what economic steps to take to be in a better position of wealth, none of this ever happens, These numbers are thrown in our faces and then told someone is responsible for this, and then all we do is talk about it, no collective action.

Let us look at the squeaky clean president Obama, ( who because of Trump can do no wrong).

Right now the argument is President Donald Trump is racist and he doesn’t talk about white supremacist groups, well the funny thing is President Obama didn’t do that either, I wonder why black people don’t give Trump the same pass, because the best person to talk about this is President Obama, One of President Obama’s mentors was known to be a KKK member, even Wikipedia said this.  President Obama gave a Eulogy at his funeral and said very good things about him, He called him a “dear friend” it is interesting that the first black president said a lot of good things about a known KKK member, yet the black community was and is silent on this.

Senator Robert Byrd

Depending on who you ask, President Obama and Candidate Obama were two different people, although he still gets a pass just for being black,  that his hands were tied so he couldn’t do what he had to do for black people. No matter what he does he still enjoyed a very high approval rating within African Americans, although some were disappointed, he kept getting the pass in the black community.

He did talk about fatherlessness in the black community, even though he uses the fact that his mom was a single mother, which is not all the way true, his dad died when he was young so he did know his father. His own party and his own vice president contributed to fatherlessness in black America, how ??? The 1994 Crime Bill. The bill locked up black people in historical numbers. Joe Biden helped write the crime bill of 1994, This is who President Obama chose as a vice president, yet he doesn’t get the same scrutiny like President Trump did if you look at his actions and look at President Trump’s action, which one seems more racist??? fun fact, Joe Biden was against the nomination of Clarence Thomas to the supreme court. Isn’t that interesting ??? Joe Biden praised people  Strom Thurmond and mentioned names like Senator James O. Eastland, both of these men were Democrats and outspoken racists. Well, a quick google search will tell anyone who this man is, he was an outspoken racist who believed that the white race is superior, funny how no one asked President Obama why he would choose such a man to be his vice president,

President Obama and his Father
President Obama and his Father

I don’t know how many people know about the story of Troy Davis,  a black man who was put on death row. He was on death row for a long time. His case needed to be reopened because all the witnesses changed their story, Troy’s family fought tooth and nail to have his case reopened, that didn’t happen, they pleaded, with the president, President Barack Obama, to at least say something about that case, black men wrongly convicted for a crime they didn’t commit is too common in the system, one would think that the first black president, democrat or republican would understand this., but nope. Even the European Union and other international organizations made statements, but Mr. Obama didn’t do anything, in fact, he refused to do anything, on September 21, 2011, Troy Davis was executed in the state of Georgia.  I wonder if anyone would compare this case to the Central Park 5 case??  The next situation goes to banking, the Glass-Steagall ACT of the 1930s which was meant to separate commercial banking and investment banking was repealed in 1999,  it was done so by president Bill Clinton, giving a free pass to the bank, not even President Bush did this but he did, however, start the whole bail bank bailout, and then it was effectively continued by President Obama. Oh don’t get me wrong republicans have some laws that don’t benefit black people either, My thing is this how is it that we can give someone a pass because he is black, or he played the saxophone on TV, or he let Maya Angelou recite poems at his inauguration? we let someone who has been pushing racist laws for all his life become a vice president to the first black president, why are we not asking these questions, we didn’t ask them then and we are not asking them now.

Troy Davis

There is something that Joe Biden said back when Barack Obama was running for president,  and I still wonder today how he got a pass from Obama himself, he said  “ First mainstream African American who is articulate and bright, nice looking guy, I mean that is storybook” Joe Biden just told us he doesn’t know of any black people who sounded like Barack Obama and looked like him, and this man actually wants the black vote????

Joe Biden

Let us look how much democrats are really for the people so they can actually relate to “us” the people who have nothing and can’t pay our bills

  • Barack Obama- $70 Million
  • Hillary Clinton-$120 Million
  • Elizabeth Warren- 12 Million
  • Michael Bennet-$15 Million
  • John Delaney -$200 Million
  • Joe Biden- 9 $Million
  • Kamala Harris-$6 Million
  • Beto O’Rourke -$4 Million
  • Bernie Sanders $2.5 Million
  • Amy Klobuchar $2 Million
  • Marianne Williamson-$1.5 Million
  • Michael Bloomberg-$ 58.6 Billion
  • Tom Seyer -$1.6 Billion
  • Cory Booker -$1.5 Million
  • Andrew Yang $1 Million

Then, of course, we have those who haven’t made it to the million-dollar club yet

  • Tulsi Gabbard $500,000
  • Tim Ryan $500,000
  • Pete Buttigieg -$100,000

The poorest one of them is making more than the average black man, yet all these politicians say they are for the people. Amazing!!!!
