How our so-called celebrities are part of the puzzle. I keep on waiting to wake up from this dream!!. Oh the Hypocrisy…  let us start by saying since Day One in Trump’s presidency, he has done things that benefitted the black community,  Like “The first Step ACT,  like Pardoning of boxer Jack Johnson.

Now Joe Biden has taken office, so Trump is out of the door,  his last days in office were quite interesting, to say the least, we all agree that he didn’t have to do what he did, which is pardon more black folks, he could have been very very petty and pardoned just white folks since he is accused of being a racist mostly by black people and white liberals.  He could have shown black people how racist he really was, personally, I wouldn’t do what Trump did, he has a big heart I must say. Usually, I wouldn’t care about these names on his list but I had to ask when I saw certain names on the list.

On the list of his pardons was a guy by the name Michael ‘Harry-O’ Harris. This man was the co-founder of DEATH ROW records where snoop made a name for himself, why is this man important? because snoop asked Trump to pardon this man, the story is that this man has been locked up since the 1980s, he would have been released in 2028. This means he was locked up during  Bush 1, Bill Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama. One begs the question why didn’t snoop Petition Obama to do this ?? Surely the first black president would have granted clemency to this man, wouldn’t he???  Racist Donald Trump wouldn’t do it would he ??? Actually, Biden was vice president for 8 years, he could have asked him….  We shouldn’t forget that snoop after being Trump’s friend, spent the last 4 years insulting Trump and telling us why he is a racist. Today he asks the racist to pardon one of his friends,( who happens to be black and locked up for breaking the law) and the racist president did just that … WOW!! I’m speechless!!!!! For those who say, oh that doesn’t matter he is still a racist,  well to them I say, he didn’t have to do it, actually, this was his chance to show people how racist he can really be, he could have said snoop, F— YOU!!!.but he didn’t. In my opinion,  I think snoop knows that Trump has been around hip hop since the early years, and he would be the one to pardon a man like this, why am I saying this ? well he didn’t ask Obama…  The Hypocrisy!

On his list of pardons was another interesting name, by the name of Desiree Perez.  For those who don’t know who Desiree Perez is, she is the CEO of Roc Nation,  YES Roc nation owned by Jay Z. She was arrested in 1994 on drug charges and that case has been over her head since. Again, this means she had this over her head since, Clinton, Bush 2 and of course Barack Obama,  let us not forget the fact that Jay Z campaigned for  Obama and hosted an event where 100 people attended the event, each person at this event paid $40,000.00. Jay Z raised $4million for Obama. Obama didn’t even grant a pardon for Jay Z’s employee as a thank you,  and he was in office for 8 years. Let us not also forget that Jay Z called Trump a “joke”. Let us say the “joke” of a president pardoned his CEO for free, if I was Trump I would find a way to charge for this, being that he raized $4million and couldn’t even get a free pardon. Jay Z didn’t even show up for the signing of the music modernization ACT, something that benefited the artists through streaming services. ( Tidal!!)

He did pardon Lil Wayne and Kodak Black but that is not surprising at least they supported him. A lot of people do not know but Trump while in the office took a salary of $1. Yes, ONE DOLLAR.

My dear friends the hypocrisy runs deep, and now there is silence everywhere because Trump who is supposed to be the racist did these things, he helped those who insulted him. WOW personal opinion again, I wouldn’t have done it.

Donald Trump and Black People , what has he done for black people ? http://selfequanimity.com/donald-trump-and-black-people-what-has-he-done/ http://selfequanimity.com/donald-trump-and-black-people-what-has-he-done/#respond Mon, 24 Aug 2020 05:23:33 +0000 http://selfequanimity.com/?p=774  I didn’t think I had to do this but people keep asking, ” what has President Trump done for black people ??  Even After I stated so many times what he has done, so I decided to dedicate a blog page on that .. maybe itemize it.

First Step Act

This is the law that basically gives a second chance to unfair sentences. People who believe their sentences were unfair can renegotiate their cases and have their sentences reviewed. 90% have been black men and I’m very sure some of them were there because of unfair child support cases. Let me ask this question, who do they lock up more than any other race in America? Ask Joe Biden he did most of the locking in his 94 crime bill and cut funding so they can’t get rehabilitated in jail, creating a very vibrant prison industrial complex.

Music Modernization Act

President Obama who sang with people like BB King and others in the white house did not do this,  Most people know how Trump used to hang around black entertainers, which was of no benefit to him, they used him, but he didn’t use them, KRS 1 called him a friend of hip hop. Funny, dumb Cardi B, didn’t know that it is because of Trump that she will get paid by streaming services, once she figures out how to write her own songs..  it is a copyright reform for songwriters.  Even Sean “Jay Z ” Carter did not show up at this signing, this was very interesting, one would have thought he would have shown up since this benefits the music industry.

“The Music Modernization Act is the most important law in a generation, to help make sure that our songwriters all over America can keep working and make a decent living by making sure they are paid when their songs get played” Senator Lamar Alexander

Trump and Al Sharpton
Trump and Al Sharpton

Yes, that is right all these songs mentioned Trump’s name in their songs, TODAY they hate him, let me remind people that before this law, Songwriters were not making enough through streaming services, it is almost as if the music industry still expects you to sell CD’s in order to have extra money, who buys cd’s these days ??

Expansion of Enterprise Zones

First let us define what an enterprise Zone is, according to Investopedia, or any other business book you can find online, An enterprise zone is a geographic area that has been granted special tax breaks, regulatory exemptions, or other public assistance in order to encourage private economic development and job creation.  His executive order expands this to the inner cities.  well, even our first black president did not do this, speaking of our first black president, the first black heavyweight boxer was pardoned by the racist in office, ( the irony). You would think that the first black president would have done this, but NOPE he didn’t. For those who didn’t know he was made a criminal because of a little-known act called the man act.

Executive Orders for Coronavirus Economic Relief

1. I don’t know if anyone was paying attention to this, but if not let me break it down.  This executive order cuts payroll taxes for companies, from now till the end of the year. which means people will see bigger paychecks

2. Directing the HHS and CDC to protect people from eviction until the end of the year. ( End of 2020)

3. Unemployment benefits have been extended to the end of the year, though it’s not the regular $600, it’s $400 which is better than nothing

4. Relief to Student loan borrowers, and it lowers interest rates to zero.

It is difficult to say this doesn’t help black people because we say we get the least right?  we are the most known to be evicted, and this pandemic has hurt more black people than any other race.  Please tell me how this is not good,  I will agree that he can do more, every president could have done more, or can do more, but that is an argument for another day.  We have a student loan debt that almost surpasses 1 trillion, in another conversation, I will show you how we got here,  and we got here by none other than President Obama.

if a man has been in politics for almost 50 years, and he couldn’t do half of these things and he is now telling us he will do “some ” of these things if and when he becomes president, doesn’t that make you question his motives???

White House initiative to promote excellence and innovation at historically black colleges and universities ( Executive Order 13779)

This is one of my favorites, in plain language, allocates more money to HBCUs and makes it permanent so they wouldn’t have to come to the white house over and over again, every year. The funny thing about this executive order is that Trump spends more money on HBCUs, than any other president even more than the first black president, he actually made the spending permanent.

Executive Order to Grant full clemency to John Arthur “Jack” Johnson, the first black Heavyweight Champion ( World Champion)

Again this is something our first black president did not do, he granted a full pardon to Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight champion. Even the boxing world thought this was a very good idea if this man is a racist, why would he grant clemency to someone who is already dead, he won’t give a damn about this man whatsoever.

Jack Johnson
Jack Johnson

I’m not telling anyone to hug Trump on he is the savior of black people, ill leave that to black people who want the democrats to save them, I’m saying now as we look at this, he is the lesser of 2 evils,   he has done things even the first black president did not do, one might say he is pandering to black people, my answer is, at least he is …. what happened to our black politicians who think just because they are black and democrat, they should automatically get the vote.  As a people we should go with who will benefit us the most, because, at the end of the day, we don’t know these politicians personally, and we use words like race, empathy, love, and compassion, personally anyone who occupies the oval office can’t be any of these things because as a president especially the united states, taking a human life is one of the main things you would have to do,  and no one could be that compassionate, filled with empathy, and love if they are willing to take another human life. This is my message.
