This is my favorite topic simply because I know a lot of people who blamed Trump and said Trump was heartless. it’s interesting how people don’t do research at all and read history, when I say history I don’t mean the stone age, I mean anything from 5 to 10 to 15 years. Let us not forget that a lot of things happened in 2016 that a few people will rather forget. I remember President Trump being blamed for the Muslim ban and we had Chuck Schumer “fake” cry about it on TV. He was saying that this was mean spirited and “unamerican”, which was very interesting since no one seems to have a problem with the previous administration’s(Obama’s government) ban on 7 Muslim nations, of course, the mainstream media made it seem like Trump did that out of the blue forgetting to mention that it was the Obama’s administration that picked those 7 countries. Those countries were Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan. Interesting isn’t it? but this is not about the famous Muslim ban that Trump was blamed for, this is about separating children at the border.
A lot of women ( mainly mothers) were told by the mainstream media that the heartless orange man separated children at the border, many mothers started to hate Trump and asked how he could be so heartless, Kamala Harris said “ it was wrong, and immoral and unnecessary” she went on to say that “ it’s got to stop, full stop” she went as far as saying that the secretary of homeland security should resign. Joe Biden of course pretended he didn’t know where those cages came from. I don’t know if anyone has read the headlines but the Biden Administration has reopened a facility that held Migrant children … I thought I was dreaming when I read this, surely they wouldn’t do this, they are the party that cares about humanity, not like Trump who hates foreigners and is a white supremacist and because of that, he locked a lot of kids in cages.
The white house actually went as far as defending this action and said it was temporary, an action that they said was deplorable, and ask that the secretary of Homeland security turn in her resignation. Will someone say hypocrisy. The interesting thing about this one is that this is the same facility that was opened under Trump.
The Washington Post had a headline which read, “First Migrant Facility for children opens under Biden”
this was 2 days ago I believe, but a few years ago the same Washington Post was singing a different tune, it read “The American tradition of caging children”
Even Time magazine had what I would call a “Human Interest” picture.
Oh the politicians had a field day with this, they kept on calling it concentration camps, reporters kept repeating it over and over again, now everyone knows Trump as the one who separated kids at the border, the media failed to mention that, these things started under the Obama Administration. Now, folks we got to give this to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), I like to give credit where credit is due, and for this, she did very well, in criticizing the administration for its double standards, but of course, she couldn’t say too much. I would say she should know, she called these same “facilities” concentration camps.
She then went on to say Caging kids is a for-profit enterprise, so that means that someone is making money off these kids that are being held in the reopened “facilities”/”concentration camps”/”detention centers”. If this for the children as they say, and since they all accused Trump of being heartless, she could have suggested a hotel for the children right ??? I mean at least it won’t be a detention center, and since the excuse they are giving is the pandemic, well, they can do 2 to a room. Even the president of the US National Border Patrol Council, Brandon Judd called out the hypocrisy of the administration.
A lot of people don’t understand that certain things are more complex than they seem. I remember candidate Obama blamed Bush for indefinite detentions and said he was going to close Guantanamo Bay, he couldn’t do it even as a two-term president. We as a people should be sophisticated enough to look at all sides of the issue, but we don’t. They give us trigger words and we run with them. As we are talking now, Covid deaths have gone up again, is it Trump’s fault, or Biden’s fault?? well who is president now Biden, so who do we blame???? This is sad we must do better as a people. These things are more complex than a mere executive order!
